Polar Bear Classic Diving Competition This Weekend!

The Pan Am Pool in Winnipeg, Manitoba is about to be jam-packed full of divers of all ages! This weekend, January 20-22, 2012, Revolution Diving hosts the Vaughn Baird Polar Bear Classic Diving Competition.

Yesterday afternoon we welcomed divers and coaches from Colombia and Minnesota! Today we welcome teams from Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon and Thunder Bay. We have divers aged 8 to 27 gearing up to compete!

The Competition runs from 8 am to 5 pm Friday through Sunday. Divers in various age groups from 9+ under right up to the Senior Open Events will occur throughout the day. Click HERE for the detailed schedule of events.

This is your chance to see Manitoba’s up and coming divers, as well as 2011 National Champion and Pan Am Games Bronze Medallist, Kevin Geyson! We are also hosting divers from other parts of Canada, the USA and Colombia! We hope to see you at the pool!

The Annual Vaughn Baird Polar Bear Classic will be held at the historic Pan Am Pool in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada this year January 20-22, 2011. Revolution Diving is proud to present this event, a long standing competition with over 40 years of history (formerly called the Pan Am Invitational).

This event has always been an exciting competition for divers who come to Winnipeg to check out the snow and cold outside… and the warm hospitality complimented with great competition inside.

This is an Invitational Competition that is open to divers in age groups A through E, as well as Open, in 1-metre and 3-metre Springboards and Platform. We would love to host your team! Please check out our page dedicated to this event for all of the competition information, updates and results!

Don’t let the winter blues get you down… put on a bathing suit and dive into a fun and thrilling sport! Our diving lessons are for all kids beginner to advanced. We also offer a special diving class for adults!

The 2011-2012 Competitive Season is Underway!

Well, we’re all-up-and-training, and we’ve now had our first long weekend! All of our Beginner, Advanced and Competitive divers are back in the pool for another exciting season of diving. This season we are happy to have all of the Revolution and Pan Am Diving Club divers training together as one. The season started in September, but some of the Competitive divers began in August, as many of them attended a camp coached by Dallas Ludwick. Here they are, enjoying a break in action during one of our long – but very fun – days at camp!

Thanksgiving Day Holiday

Hello Monday Divers!

Just a reminder that there is NO DIVING on Monday, October 10th, as the pool is closed early for the Holiday.

Also, aside from the Competitive programs, there will be no diving on Monday, October 31st, due to many requests for divers to be able to go trick-or-treating!

Both Monday and Monday/Wednesday classes will be continued on for two classes in order to accommodate the two missed Mondays. There will still be 10 lessons in the session for all classes.

Fall Diving Begins this Week!

Hello Divers!

Our Saturday Diving Classes began this past weekend, September 10th. If you are still interested in joining us for our Saturday morning diving classes, you can do so one week late. The only classes still accepting registration are the 9-10 am Beginners and the 9-10 am Squirts (4-6 year olds).

Weeknight Diving Classes begin tonight! Don’t forget to meet at the bench under the 3-metre springboards and bring your payment if you have recently registered.

There is very limited registration still available for weeknight classes. Space is available only on Tuesdays 5-6 pm and Thursdays 5-6 pm for Beginners. Advanced classes still have some limited space available as well.

Adult Diving is also FULL for the Fall Session!

We are very happy to have recieved such a great response to our Fall Diving program! Looks like we will be adding additional classes to our Winter Program. The Winter Diving Session will begin in January, and it will also run for 10 weeks.

Just an update on our Fall Diving Programs…

Mondays 5-6 pm are now FULL

Wednesdays 6-7 pm are now FULL

Saturdays 10-11 am are now FULL

We will no longer be accepting registration for these two classes. For information or registration, see our Fall Programs Brochure and email us at revolutiondiving@gmail.com.

Also, we have confirmed a time for our Adult Diving Class: Tuesdays 6:30-8 pm. Adults do 30 minutes of warm-up, conditioning and drills to learn and improve diving, followed by 60 minutes of working on skills and having fun in the water!

Revolution Diving joins with the Pan Am Diving Club

Those of you who have been re-directed here from the Pan Am Diving Club website… WELCOME!

Yes, we have great news! This fall, Revolution Diving and the Pan Am Diving Club will amalgamate to form one great club based out of the Pan Am Pool in Winnipeg!

We have set up high quality programming at all levels from Canadian National Team Members diving at major events around the world… to divers competing in thier very first competitions… to kids going in head-first for the first time!

The new amalgamated club is under the leadership of Dallas Ludwick, along with coaches Keith Pearch, Holly Mourant, Jill Gudmandson and our many enthouastic instructors.

Our Learn-To-Dive program is now based on a NEW program custom designed by Dallas Ludwick for beginner divers to progress through the basics of diving to more complex skills using a fun, safe and developmentally sound method. We guarantee you will learn new skills and have fun at diving!
